eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2025 Finals Set to Ignite Shanghai with $150,000 Prize Pool
eXTREMESLAND today announced the details for the highly anticipated eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2025 Finals, where 12 of the region’s best teams will converge in Shanghai to compete for the prestigious title of Asian Champions.
The Finals are scheduled to run from December 18 to December 22, 2025, at the state-of-the-art Perfect World Esports Center in Shanghai.
The tournament will feature the 12 top-performing teams who successfully advanced from the intense local open qualifiers across the region. These squads will battle head-to-head for glory and a share of the substantial total prize pool.
Regional Qualifiers Conclude, Finalists Confirmed
A series of rigorous regional qualifiers across Asia and Oceania, determining the final participants for the Shanghai Finals. These qualifiers featured a mix of online and offline competition, showcasing the breadth of talent across the region:
Open Sign-Up :
- Mongolia Open (Aug 12 – Sep 27): Featuring 16 teams in Phase 1 (Champion: The Huns Esports) and 18 teams in Phase 2 (Champion: Eruption).
- Vietnam Open (Aug 16 – Oct 5): Saw 40 teams compete, with VTM Esports emerging as the champion.
- South East Asia Open (Sep 6 – Sep 21) for Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia: Team Nemesis Asia claimed the victory among 30 participating teams.
- Philippines Open (Sep 5 – Oct 4): Out of 16 teams, Deep Cross Gaming (True Thunder) secured the top spot.
- Japan Open (Oct 11 – Oct 19): Ravens won the online qualifier featuring 15 teams.
- South Korea Open (Oct 11 – Oct 18): Sensation earned the final spot from a field of 14 participants.

Open Sign-Up + Direct Invite VRS team :
China Open (Oct 18 – Nov 1): Based on the VRS world rankings as of October 15, the top two Chinese teams ranked from 13th onward were directly invited to the China closed qualifiers.
Oceania Open (Sep 13 – Sep 14): Based on the Oceania VRS points as of September 2, the top two teams, SemperFi and Rooster (the original first-ranked team, Flyquest, did not accept the invitation), were invited to the Oceania closed qualifiers.
Significant Prize Pool Announced
The total prize pool for the eXTREMESLAND CS Asia Open 2025 Finals reaches USD $150,000, structured to reward top performance:
- Champions will take home $70,000.
- The 2nd place team receives $30,000.
- The 3rd and 4th place teams will each receive $10,000.
- The 5th through 8th will each receive $5,000
- The 9th through 12th will each receive $2,500.
