eXTREMESLAND Day 2: CTG and Rare Atom Advance Undefeated; Japanese and Korean Squads Exit the Tournament
Day 2 of the eXTREMESLAND is in the books, and the final four playoff teams from Groups C and D are officially locked in.
In Group C, Rare Atom secured a hard-fought victory over Rooster before cruising past VTM. Thanks to a massive round difference, RA advanced as the top seed, followed by Rooster, who dominated VTM to claim their own spot.
Over in Group D, CW fell to CTG by a slim five-round margin in the opener but bounced back with a crushing 11-round victory over Ravens to advance. CTG then took care of business against Ravens with a six-round lead, securing their undefeated run and the top spot in the group.

The opener between RA and Rooster was a thriller that went down to the wire. Newcomer chengking stepped up for RA to help secure a narrow victory.
Rooster took an early 3-0 lead, but RA’s defense locked in rifle round. With lethal crossfire setups and crisp trading, RA broke Rooster’s momentum. A clutch force-buy win in the final round of the half put RA ahead 7-5.
RA took the second-half pistol with a silent contact play, boosting into VIP while hitting Mid to A1 for a clean site take. The following rounds were a back-and-forth grind, with neither team budging until a late 11-11 deadlock. After a crucial tactical timeout by RA, TiGeR found a massive opening pick with the AWP to secure match point. RA finally sealed the win by clutching a man-down situation in the final round.

The second matchup featured a clear gap in skill as Rare Atom steamrolled VTM, dropping only two rounds in a total blowout.
VTM opened the first half with a pistol-round triple-kill from Baby4, but RA immediately responded with a successful force-buy, finding key openings in Mid. chengking then shut down VTM’s aggressive dry-peeks at T-ramp, securing a flawless 5-man survival round that sent RA’s economy skyrocketing. Despite a heart-breaking 0.1-second failure to defuse the bomb in Round 9, RA remained unstoppable, closing the half with a dominant 10-2 lead.
In the second half, L1haNg’s entry double-kill paved the way for an A-site plant, followed by TiGeR’s twin frags to secure the pistol round. After crushing VTM’s subsequent force-buy, RA quickly reached match point. With no economy left to work with, VTM’s final desperate buys fell short, and Rare Atom sealed the 13-2 victory.

The third matchup between Rooster and VTM showcased a clear gap in map understanding, as Rooster cruised to a dominant victory with the entire squad finishing in the green.
Rooster stormed to an early 5-0 lead, relying on raw aim to break through the B-site in Round 6. VTM managed to claw back to 4-6, but a timely tactical timeout from Rooster changed the momentum. In the following force-buy, TjP became a one-man army with his Desert Eagle, clutching a massive 4 kills to flip the round and effectively shutting down VTM’s scoring for the rest of the half.
In the second half, Rooster combined utility execution with crisp trading to take the A-site and the pistol round. After securing the next two, they executed a full A-site hit during the buy round, splitting the CT defense and leaving them lost in a wall of smoke. With the CTs unable to find an opening for the retake, Rooster surged to match point. Despite VTM gaining a 4v3 advantage in Banana during the final round, Rooster’s B-site hit overcame the deficit to close out the game.

The fourth clash between CW and CTG was a story of individual brilliance versus team depth. Despite cool4st putting up a massive 2.03 rating, his teammates’ "all-red" stats saw them fall short against a more balanced CTG offensive.
The match opened with a chaotic trade of rounds: CW took the pistol, CTG force-bought and stole it back, only for CW to flip it once more. The game remained scrappy until CTG finally broke the deadlock; a rock-solid A-defense combined with Hack1ing’s double-kill on the retake secured their first clean buy round. The half ended in a 6-6.
CW secured the second-half pistol as well, but Hack1ing once again played the spoiler. He found two entries in the force-buy, picked up a rifle, and added a third to secure the plant and another crucial flip. From there, CTG finally found their rhythm, unleashing a 7-1 run to steamroll their way to victory.

Map：Ancient（Chinggis Warriors 13-2 Ravens）
The fifth match saw CW bounce back in style against Ravens. Shaking off their previous slump, the entire squad caught fire to steamroll the opposition—ironically leaving cool4st as the only one with red stats this time.
CW opened with a crushing 9-0 lead. In Round 10, sach1 finally found a gap, finding a double-kill Mid before timing his push into VIP perfectly. After entering the site, he shut down the dry-peeks from B-slope to secure a massive 4K and get Ravens on the board. However, ROUX remained unstoppable, racking up a 19-6 KD to close the half at 10-2.
In the second half, the CTs tried to aggro Mid but were picked off from Connector. A swift hit from B-slope instantly cleared the site defenders. Down a pistol round, Ravens opted for a full-eco, handing over match point. ROUX then capped off his performance with an entry double-kill to seal the 13-2 victory.

The final matchup saw CTG face off against Ravens. Despite Ravens winning the opening pistol, CTG immediately flipped the momentum with a force-buy win and never looked back, closing out the game with a dominant second-half run.
In the first half, FurtVe’s triple-kill secured the pistol for Ravens, but CTG responded instantly. VanceKK found two massive picks with the Scout, while Hack1ing mowed down two more with the MP9 before clutching a 1v1 with a picked-up AK to complete the force-buy flip. After a tactical timeout, Ravens nearly clawed back with a FurtVe 1v3 attempt, but a low HP LaiKeXu shut him down. The half ended 8-4.
CTG took the second-half pistol to push the lead to 10-4. Ravens managed to string a few buy rounds together to mount a comeback, but Zero’s double-kill entry snuffed out their momentum. CTG finally sealed the 13-7 victory.
